Youneedtea is an online store of tea, coffee, and accessories. The company supplies products to large organizations, cafes, restaurants, offices, and retail users. 


Business Challenges

Before developing the project, we identified the main tasks that needed to be implemented:

  • Develop an online store selling elite tea.
  • The main emphasis should be placed on the breadth of the product range and a convenient filter for selecting tea and coffee.
  • Increase conversion by using the latest trends in e-commerce design and usability.
  • Establish promotion of the company and online sales through an online store.
  • Represent the company on the Internet, and increase the number of partners.


The target audience of the project is cafes, offices, hotels and restaurants, and retail and wholesale distributors of tea and related equipment.

The Promodex team decided to implement the project in the following stages:

  1. Perform a niche and competitor analysis to identify strengths and weaknesses, and compare them with the company's unique selling proposition.
  2. Perform analysis of search queries to compile the semantic core of the website.
  3. Create a site structure based on the semantic core.
  4. Work out the UI / UX of the project based on the analytics.
  5. Write technical documentation.
  6. Implement design layouts for the PC and mobile versions of the site.
  7. Implement the required pool of work on the front-end and back-end parts.
  8. Set up the import/export plugin.
  9. Test the project, including load tests, usability, performance, and security.


Technical Information

A team of 6 people took part in the project implementation: project manager, UI/UX specialist, SEO specialist, front-end developer, back-end developer, and QA specialist.

The site was developed using a site management system and CMS Opencart, as this platform meets all technical requirements, as well as customer preferences.
