Client

Dive And See is a US manufacturer of professional underwater video equipment: cameras, monitors, cables, and accessories for underwater filming. The brand's equipment is used in scientific research, industrial operations, and film and TV production, and the company supplies it to customers worldwide. For a business like this, the website is both a showcase and a sales channel in the global market.

Challenges

The old website was technically and visually outdated, did not function as a full-fledged store, and was not mobile-friendly. The company needed a website that both sells complex equipment and demonstrates the brand's engineering expertise.

The audience: international B2B and B2G customers, including research institutions, industrial companies in energy, mining, and maritime transportation, media and production studios, professional divers and camera operators, and government agencies for rescue operations and environmental monitoring.

  • Online sales: turn the website into an online store with a catalog, product pages, a cart, and checkout.
  • A tech brand image: a redesign that reflects the specifics of the high-tech equipment niche.
  • Request handling: centralized processing of orders and inquiries from customers in different countries.
  • Usability on any device: correct operation on smartphones, tablets, and desktops.
  • Search visibility: prepare the website for search engine promotion.

Solution

  1. Audit and niche analysis. We reviewed the old website and identified the technical and UX issues that were hurting conversions; analyzed competitors in underwater video equipment and defined requirements for the structure and content.
  2. Architecture built around the store. We built a structure focused on the catalog, product pages, search navigation, and company information.
  3. Design for two types of customers. The interface serves both B2B and B2C buyers, with an emphasis on the products, their applications, and the brand's scientific and technical approach. The catalog includes filters, galleries, documentation, and order forms.
  4. Built from scratch, with CRM. The website was rebuilt on a customized OpenCart, and requests, orders, and inquiries from customers around the world flow into the CRM automatically.
  5. Optimization and ongoing support. We optimized images, page URLs, and content, and set up structured data and page speed. After launch, Promodex provides ongoing SEO, technical support, and regular content updates.
